Granollers hosted the 2.5-day joint workshop of the EU-FarmBook and PREMIERE projects, bringing together the full Ambassador team. The main objective of the meeting was to prepare for the tasks of the second phase of the project, while strengthening knowledge exchange and collaboration among participants.
On the first day of the workshop, the participants focused on the further development of the EU-FarmBook platform and its more effective use. Key discussions explored how to enrich the platform with even more relevant and practical content, and how to better support users in discovering and actively using it. New developments were also presented, including AI-based content upload support and the possibility to embed YouTube links, both designed to simplify content management.
On the second day, the focus shifted to multi-actor collaborations. Through a simulation exercise, participants took on the roles of different stakeholders—such as farmers, advisors, researchers, and start-ups—and jointly developed a multi-year project concept This collaborative activity helped identify common challenges arising in collaborations, explore possible solutions for addressing them, and key factors of effective task-sharing and partnership dynamics.
The third day concentrated on the criteria for Horizon Europe proposal evaluation. Participants received practical guidance on how to “communicate” effectively with the evaluators and what criteria are the most important during the assessment process. In addition, participants were introduced to methodologies and tools supporting the development of multi-actor projects, including a “pathway” approach, and a consortium-building tool was also tested, helping participants map partners’ competencies against call requirements.
Overall, the workshop highlighted the importance of well-structured collaboration, the involvement of the right partners, and strategic planning in developing successful projects. The experiences and tools gained during the workshop can also be effectively applied in domestic practice, contributing to the strengthening of innovation collaborations.
